While you might not be able to afford a dozen real eggs this Easter, the Erie area has plenty of events where kids, and even adults, can hunt for plastic ovals filled with goodies.
Some of the Easter egg hunts are free community events while others require a fee to participate. The weekends leading to Easter also include a number of breakfasts and other opportunities to see the Easter Bunny.

Find the eggs : March 29-Apil 19, Millcreek Mall, 5800 Peach St. Kids age 15 and younger can get an answer page from Customer Service and then write down the location of at least eight of 10 eggs hidden in store windows and return the page for a treat while supplies last. Free. 814-868-9000.
Easter egg hunt : April 5, 11 a.m., Arby's, 7521 Perry Highway. Hunt and bunny photos. $2 donation towards No Kid Hungry.
