Dior has introduced the Cigale bag, a sculptural new design by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson that interprets the house⁘s archival heritage with the designer⁘s contemporary flair.
Presented as part of the Spring⁘Summer 2026 collection, the bag takes its cues from La Cigale, an iconic dress created by Christian Dior for Fall⁘Winter 1952. The design was progressive for its time, pairing the rigour of couture construction with a silhouette that felt relaxed, contemporary and wearable.
Captivated by its modernity, Anderson has described the original gown ⁘ featuring a fitted bodice, full moir⁘ skirt, and pronounced pleats ⁘ as ⁘my favourite dress of all in the history of fashion.⁘
