Bella Hadid Lays Into Fashion Brand Dolce ⁘ Gabbana Over ‘Embarrassing' Milan Show

The catwalk star, 29, took aim at the Italian fashion house over a lack of diversity at their show on Saturday, January 17, in the Italian city.

A furious Hadid wrote on Instagram: "Shocked people actually support this company still it's embarrassing. Models / stylists/ casting the whole damn thing"

Hadid's comment — which has been liked more than 62,000 times — was in response to an Instagram video posted by fashion commentator and social media star Elias Medini , 26, who is also known as Lyas.

In the clip, Medini showed images of the show's casting, and branded it "not normal," before saying: "Fifty shades of white."

He claimed there was "not one single Asian, not one single dark-skinned model, I believe not a single Arab or blond guy."

He added: "And they have the audacity of saying in the promotional video for the show… I'm going to show you."

Medini then shared Dolce ⁘ Gabbana 's promotional video, which featured the tagline: "Dolce ⁘ Gabbana unveils The Portrait of Man. A collection dedicated to the singular identity of every man."

In another comment on Medini's post, Hadid made several allegations about the brand, and questioned why people are surprised by the recent fashion show lineup.

In a post liked more than 29,000 times, she added: "Beeeen cancelled…. years of racism sexism bigotry xenophobia … how are we shocked still ?"
