In a blindfolded survey carried out in June 2024 by Which? , the site named the best three supermarket sun creams by comparing six different brands and their effectiveness. The panel tested SPF30 sun creams, SPF50 and 50+ kids' sun lotions, as well as face sunscreen from popular brands including Boots Soltan, Garnier and Nivea.
The tests were carried out by recognised British and International test standards for sun protection products , including SPF and UVA tests, and application tests.

In this case, Bondi Sands SPF50+ face sunscreen lotion, and Calypso's Press ⁘ Protect Sun lotion SPF30 failed the test of protection. Ir also included Asda 's Protect Moisturising Sun Lotion SPF30 High.
