Just one month after Loewe revealed the Ballet Runner 2.0 and just one week after Adidas introduced the Bad Bunny x Adidas Ballerina , the Louis Vuitton Sneakerina has been unwrapped.
LV is the latest brand to take take on the dance trainer trend. Very appropriately named the Sneakerina (a mash-up of the words 'sneaker' and 'ballerina,' in case that wasn't obvious enough), the maison's first pair has been revealed in eight (!) colour combos.
The materials depend on which colourway you go for. The most hyped-up version will probably be the all-black one with Louis V's signature monogram leather across toebox, heel, and sides. This pair is dripped out in calfskin leather and suede. It also comes in other styles like one that's covered in hundreds of shiny silver beads and one that's detailed with nubuck.
But no matter which Sneakerina you choose, they all come with a little pull tab around the back so you can get in-and-out with no dramas, a giant "LV" logo across the laterals, and a super thin (almost non-existent) rubber midsole underneath. Everything is then finished off with Sacchetto stitching, which is basically a traditional construction technique that's usually used by best Italian shoemakers for the best Italian shoes.
The Louis Vuitton Sneakerina is set to drop at Louis Vuitton on April 4. It'll get then a much wider release at select stockists on April 11. A price has yet to be announced, but, if we had to guess, we'd say it ain't gonna be cheap.
