But, after 27 years at the helm, Donatella Versace announced just last week she would be stepping down as the brand's creative director. While the 69-year-old designer will continue on as chief brand ambassador, former Miu Miu design director Dario Vitale will be taking over as chief creative officer. His appointment marking a break in tradition after 47 years of the label kept in the family.
