Boots is selling a bottle of Chanel perfume at the cheapest price we've seen it since Black Friday, and it's the perfect time to snap it up ahead of Mother's Day. Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel would normally cost £104 for a 50ml bottle, but has dropped down to £89 for a limited time.
Said to be a favourite amongst celebrities like Meghan Markle and Victoria Beckham, Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel opens up very citrus heavy with orange, bergamot, Mandarin orange and orange blossom before deepening into a floral heart of Turkish rose, jasmine, mimosa and ylang-ylang.The base is a classic blend of patchouli, white musk, vanilla, vetiver, tonka bean and opoponax.
The nose behind Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel is Jacques Polge, the in house perfumer at Chanel. He worked with the brand from 1978 until his 2015 retirement. It's here he also created Chance , Bleu de Chanel and Allure .
It's not got any reviews on the Boots website but has brought in a range of reviews over on Fragrantica where fragrance buffs share their thoughts on scents. One said: ⁘This is the brightest star of Chanel for me!! If I had to to pick ten timeless, classic scents, this would be definitely one of them.⁘
A second penned: ⁘My beloved. The best scent ever made. It has so much depth that I can discover different ingredients every time I wear it, and every season I wear it yet it is a dependable feel good scent. I always love my days in it. And it last since afternoon till next morning. I prefer it in my free time and I feel it is too special for work environment.⁘
A third wrote: ⁘Classic, elegant and beautiful. This fragrance is timeless, it's the Chanel no 5 of the 21st century. It has such a lovely blend of citrus and clean patchouli with a hint of powder.⁘
The main critique its received is for being too overhyped, one fan penned: ⁘This was my signature scent for a long time. I stopped using it because it's so common and everyone knows the smell. I want to smell mysterious and have someone ask me what's the beautiful scent I have on me!⁘
